Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF)

Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) is the process of removing grease, oils, other fine suspended solids and reducing COD and BOD. Air bubble flotation is mainly used. When Air is dissolved into water, the air -saturated water generated from dissolved air micro bubbles will attach to the surface of solids. Then light solids(density is lower than water) lifts them to the surface, distributing over the whole tank surface, to make sure that there is the best solid liquid separation efficiency. Mechanical skimmer is used to remove the floating sludge . The purified clean water goes to the next system.
